    New January 2012 Scan Books

    The barcodes in the in new January 2012 scan book have changed from twelve digit numbers (UPC A) to SKU identifiers. Some files have an extra letter appended for additional layouts (ZSWRA.gnh, ZSWRB.gnh, etc) or for the light/dark distinction (ZALC01A.gnh for dark, ZALC01B.ghn for light). Performing a file update will supply these files. Older twelve digit style files will be continue to be included for some time to keep older scanbooks working. If you follow the update directions on the Files & Software page (or this PDF), you should never lose your numbered files.

    As of Tuesday, January 17, 2012, P. Graham Dunn and Debbie Guilliams have decided to travel different paths. We wish Debbie the best in her future endeavors!     Laser support will be closed both Monday, December 26 and Monday, January 2 in observance of Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Tech Support will be available Saturday, December 24 and Saturday December 31 from 9:00a - 5:00p EST.

    PRODUCT NOTE

    Mounted prints are now being produced with a routed back edge. This routed space can, however, cause the piece to slide over top of the rulers. To prevent this, a new jig, ZZALP, was shipped a few months ago. Please read this thread for the rest of the details and some photos.

    Also, production for the mounted prints will switch over to a 1/2" board from a 3/4" board. This change will not affect how your prints will engrave.

    As we make every effort to meet product demands, please be advised that the ZNHC03 Bamboo Cutting Boards will be temporarily substituted with Maple.     Thank you for your comments on the new foam jigs! We are aware that the material is too light and we are in the process of reproducing them in heavier foam. We will let you know when they are available to ship.

    In the meantime, please turn down your smoke collector when running ZORN11-13, ZCFW10 and ZCTO30.
