The Summer 2014 Personalization Catalog (Scan Book) introduces some changes to make knowing which layout file to open easier. Products and layouts that are intended to provide dark or light engraving results now have a dark red D or L beside them to be able to match the product to the correct layout. Note that the terminology has changed from light/dark product to dark/light engraving. 230+ files have been updated to reflect the change in terminology. Also, power/speed settings for all light engraving layouts have been harmonized to 40/100. Please see page 128 of the new catalog (or the image below) for an annotated example. Some things to note about new products and their templates:

1. For ZBOBs, only use the ZZALP jig if the back side is routed to accept that jig. This applies primarily to ZBOB0020-0027 and ZBOB0036-40. All template files show the use of the jig for completeness' sake.
2. For any layouts that have a "Dark Product"/"Light Product" pair of bar codes, note that "Dark Product" naturally implies "Light Engraving"; similarly, "Light Product" implies "Dark Engraving". The following lists which items are actually considered which type of product:

All 241 new files are now available. To load them, simply perform a normal file update.
Please also update your fonts to add 'Goudy Initials' and 'Lauren Script' as they are needed in the new files.

Due to a change in painting techniques, we have recently discovered that the following items are leaving an overabundant amount of residue upon an attempt to wipe clean: ZALR23, ZALR04, ZALR07, ZALR09, ZALC02, ZALC21. Our production team has identified a solution, and following a few final tests will begin producing as normal. In the interim, we will be pulling each of these items from our shelves and will no longer ship the faulty product. If your store has been inconvenienced by these particular pieces, please take a moment to make our customer service team aware as we will be providing full product credit for the defective pieces.
