What program is recommended for removing the background from a clipart picture before processing it in vectormajic? Is the vectormajic associate program clippingmajic worth the monthly subscription expense?

I have not used the Clipping Magic program at all, so I can't comment on how well it works.
If it's anything like Vector Magic though, they will likely give you two free credits to try it out before purchasing.

You can also do some rather basic editing of bitmap images using the Windows Paint program that is already installed on your computer. It's usually found under Start, Programs, Accessories, Paint.
You can use the eraser tool to remove parts of the image that you don't want.
