Question on laser machines

Trotec laser 75w...

If I have a pieces of 4mm Perspex

200mm x 200mm

In the middle I have a small 50mm square..

I want the whole area around the 50mm square down to 2mm which leave the small square raised up...

Is this possible on laser machines?

Yes, CO2 lasers, such as your Trotec, can laser acrylic (Perspex) quite well.
It shouldn't be too hard to simply raster the entire area you want lowered by 2mm.
It may take a few passes to get the depth you need though.
