Moving the laser table

I am having a problem trying to move the laser table down. I want to clean the inside of the cabinet and the table will not move down. I use the Z axis key and press the up/down arrows and the laser head moves -- not the table. I thought this is how I did it in the past.

Pressing the Z button on the laser should switch the laser to "Joystick Z" mode. If you're in that mode, you'll see "JOYSTICK Z" on line 2 and "Z = 0.000" (or some relative tray height) on line 3. If you've pressed the Z button and you can't get the machine to switch modes, please call the PGD tech support number. The behavior you observed is that if you press an arrow key before you're in "Joystick Z" then you get "Joystick XY" which moves the laser head like you saw.
